Management

The goat farm is under the supervision of a retired gazetted officer from Central Ministry of Agriculture , duly trained in “Scientific Goat Farming” from Central Institute for Research on Goats Makhdoom , Farah(U.P).The herd is looked after by trained and skilled persons. All animals are timely vaccinated against PPR, ET, Foot & Mouth and periodically treated against endo and ecto parasites and kept in ideal hygienic conditions. The goats are provided required supplements to make those healthy and attractive. The male goats are castrated at the farm by skilled persons. Proper stock of medicines and injections for day to day use is kept at the farm and animals are daily checked for any ailment and administered required treatment. Every animal is tagged with specific/individual number and to monitor its development, is weighed periodically. The farm is also visited by state Veterinary Doctors for affording expert advice.

Consultancy
There is no other organized goat farm in private sector in whole of Rajasthan and ours is the largest goat farm in the state. The farm has been able to acquire good reputation in the state as well as adjoining states for goat management. Many aspirants to start goat farming visit our farm and are provided consultancy and guidance to start a new goat farm or to have improvements in the existing one.

Welcome to Sardar Farm

Sardar Farm located 28 Km from Jaipur is spread over 20 acres of Agricultural land. The Goat farming was started in year 2012 with 60 Sirohi breed goats, which are best adapted to the local climatic conditions and are quite resistant to diseases. Hand picked stock is stall fed on nutritious concentrates and nutritive green and dried fodder. The goats are provided grains of Barley, Maize, Gram, Bajra and Methi. In the farm 15 acres land is solely kept for sowing crops for the goats. The fodder raised on the farm mainly comprises of Oats and Alpha Alpha (Lucerne) which contain high percentage of proteins.

The farm was able to provide 88 goats for Qurbani for Haqiqa and Eid-ul-Zuha in year 2013 . By maintaining quality standards and adopting modern marketing techniques the farm sold 300 goats for Qurbani during 2014 and gradually touched 700 in year 2019. The pandemic of year 2020 had harsh effect on the sale of goats at Bakri Eid and continued upto 2022 and we had to curtail our stock resulting in shortage of goats at the time of Bikri Eid 2023

Sojat Breed.
Since 2013, we had been keeping sizeable stock of Sirohi/Gugri male goats for Haqiqa/Bakri Eid. In addition, from 2019, we had started purchase/breeding Sojat Breed goats and since begining of 2023 we had more than 300 male/female. For the first time we have provided farm bred Sojat males during Bakri Eid 2023. For breeders interested in Sojat breed, we have provided females/males to Karnataka/Delhi/UP and Rajasthan.
